Any special initiatives that your organization launched to improve the work-culture?
Shafali- We have implemented quite a lot of initiatives to strengthen and improve our work-culture. Some of them are
- Smile and Greet-One thing that our HR team realized was that sometimes while working together on strict deadlines, the relationships and harmony takes a toll. We realized that people sometimes did not greet each other at the workplace. We implemented a ‘smile and greet’ culture that has now been adopted by all our members that all the people smile and greet each other at office no matter how much friction exists between them. We may disagree with people but there is no reason to disrespect anyone.
- HR Reach Out Campaign-The second initiative that we adopted was that we encourage the HR team members to go and ‘meet at least 3 people every day’. They try to find out what is going on their personal and professional lives so that we can help them if needed. This practice has helped us in earning the trust of our people and the HR team has resolved many conflicts even before they became big issues.
- Coffee Meets with CEO- We also organize discussion meets with the CEO for our people who feel like giving some input to the management. We respect high performers no matter how disengaged they may be feeling. We try to resolve their concerns as soon as possible by organizing discussion meets. These meets are organized irrespective of grades/ level and positions, and engagement level of employees. It is import to listen to disengaged the way we would listen to employees who are highly engaged in the system.
